- Coach Carter
In 1999, Ken Carter, a successful sporting goods store owner, accepts the job of basketball coach for his old high school in a poor area of Richmond, CA, where he was a champion athlete. As much dismayed by the poor attitudes of his players as well as their dismal play performance, Carter sets about to change both. The initial resistance from the boys is soon dispelled as the team under Carter's tutelage becomes a undefeated competitor in the games. However ... [read more]
- We are Marshall
In November, 1970, virtually the entire football team and coaches of Marshall University (Huntington, W.V.) die in a plane crash. That spring, led by Nate Ruffin, a player who was ill and missed the fatal flight, students rally to convince the board of governors to play the 1971 season. The college president, Don Dedman, must find a coach, who then must find players. They petition the NCAA to allow freshmen to play, and coach Jack Lengyel motivates and leads young players at the same time that he reexamines the Lombardi creed that winning is the only thing. The father and the fiancée of a player who died find strength to move on. Can Marshall win even one game in 1971? [more]

His beloved wife Mae Braddock and their three children survive to starvation and lack of heating and the daily difficulties supported by their love. - Seabiscuit
In an era when Americans were in great need of heroic figures to help them forget their troubles, SEABISCUIT comes to the rescue. The picture relates a moving story of friendship and devotion in rehabilitating the main characters'fractured lives, as it interweaves the interactions between horse, jockey, trainer and owner and their adoring fans. The film accurately portrays the real people and events of those troubled times and how Seabiscuit "fixed us, every one of us."[more]
- Band of Brothers
This is the story of "E" Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division from their initial training starting in 1942 to the end of World War II. They parachuted behind enemy lines in the early hours of D-Day in support of the landings at Utah beach, participated in the liberation of Carentan and again parachuted into action during Operation Market Garden. They also liberated a concentration camp and were the first to enter Hitler's mountain retreat in Berchtesgarten. A fascinating tale of comradeship that is, in the end, a tale of ordinary men who did extraordinary things. [more]
Well, happy voting! ;)
from decoding binaries and coding programs to having actual communication from all walks of life, i'd say the journey i'm going through is not all fun and dandy. i may have learned a lot but the learning part itself is a continuous process until we breathe out our last breath. and i may have experienced the wonders but there are more to explore.
today, i stumbled upon this piece. it pretty much sums up about project management, being a leader, being part of the team and of course, the most important tool in making a project success; COMMUNICATION.
without proper communication we can't really understand each other roles and much less the team's problem. face the facts, there's no one man show in a team. keep the options open and choose the best solution. oh well, enjoy the article..! :)
